FOR WOMEN: We recommend wearing deep saturated jewel colors, as they look great on camera. Matching your eye color to your top can be a good tip. Avoid neutral colors that could wash you out if fair skinned. Women should wear outfits they get compliments on. Jewelry is usually kept to a minimum. Lipstick commonly needs to be refreshed for photos. The only place you want shine is on lips and in eye gloss. Bring a few extra pieces of wardrobe, additional makeup, a hair brush and hair accessories. In womens portraits we allow more time and pay very close attention to hairstyling. FOR MEN: When it comes to men's attire, white dress collars are best when paired with a suit and tie. We will also remove the tie for an open collar look. Stay away from button down collars with a tie as they always bubble up. We will also shoot shirt sleeves alone as you may need photos for an assortment of business, personal, charity, and church needs. *We suggest bringing at least three different colored ties with minimal design to your shoot. FOR INDUSTRIAL: When working in a factory or on a construction site the OSHA rules and safety are king. Proper hard hats, safety glasses and steel toed shoes meeting the industry standards are a must. Wardrobe with the company colors and logo are welcome and as always bring a few extra items of clothing just in case.

Follow the 3-day haircut rule. A haircut right before a photo shoot can look too fresh and stiff. Allowing around three days for growth lets the haircut settle in and look more natural. However, this is just a general rule of thumb. The important thing is to look well-groomed and be comfortable with your appearance.
